We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a ANM in our Cardiac Electrophysiology Lab. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, a current New York State RN license, current ACLS and BLS certification with the American Heart Association. Invasive cardiology , Interventional procedural or critical care experiences are preferred. A successful candidate will ensure the coordination and delivery of safe patient centered care with a focus on patient experience and positive quality outcomes, for patients undergoing complex cardiac electrophysiology procedures. Procedure types include, but are not limited to., complex and simple ablations, diagnostic electrophysiology studies, implantation of devices, transesophageal echocardiography, direct current cardioversion drug infusions and tilt table studies. Specific procedural skills sets will include maintaining sterile fields, circulating procedures, providing scrub and back table management, hemodynamic monitoring and recording, documentation, administration of procedural sedation medications and phase II patient management.
Licensure: Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York;
Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing required, Master's Degree in Nursing or health-related area preferred
Competence: At least three years of clinical practice in the care of the patient population served; ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion which addresses patient/family satisfaction;Progressive leadership; demonstrated in a leadership position or demonstrates the potential for leadership competency; demonstrates ability to develop, guide, motivate, nurture, and coach others; participation in service or departmental committees;Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and creative problem solving;Membership in pertinent professional organizations.
Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS
Certification in relevant practice area preferred
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
