Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Coord-Clin Equipment Svcs.
In this role, the successful candidate Position Summary:The Coordinator ensures effective operations of area and departmental supply/equipment issues by coordinating all aspects ofclinical equipment inventory control.
Performs environmental and equipment rounds in a routine manner and addresses issues in a timely manner.
Evaluates proposed equipment needs and purchases in light of clinical necessity, practicality and budgetary implications. Orders and receives new equipment and coordinates training for its utilization.
Reviews and analyzes allocation of space and the utilization of supplies in order to project changes necessary to accommodate new technology or equipment.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the non-salary budget on a service and unit level.
Assists leadership in the submission and preparation of capital requests, complete with clinical justifications, relevant repair or replacement costs as well as providing manufacturer costs and specifications.
Ascertains operating expense impact of capital purchases. Demonstrates the implementation of cost reduction/savings initiatives on a service/unit level.
Reviews work priorities and unit planning with the Nurse Managers and Director of Nursing and assists in the daily coordination of workflow between units and support services.
Fully participates in the following committees: Logistics/Nursing Payroll and Unit Leadership meetings. Responds to and completes committee assignments and recommendations in a timely manner.
Consistently identifies and initiates activities or actions that improve the flow of information and supplies.
Demonstrates ability to use existing resources, staff, reports, etc. to provide quick evaluations and recommendations on assigned projects.
May participate in the development of fiscal responsibility with nursing leadership and staff on the unit/service level. Identifies a problem and takes action to correct the problem.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in business administration or related discipline and 3 years relevant experience or an quivalent combination of education and experience. Must include 2 years inventory management experience. Excellent analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, communication, and problem solving skills required. Computer proficiency with knowledge of Windows-based applications is required. Ability to prioritize projects, and process multiple tasks as required. Ability to communicate with others in an effective and concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in Health Administration and 4 years; clinical inventory management experience in a complex hospital sytem or medical center. Strong data analysis and report preparation experience is preferred.
