We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Carpenter Mechanic.
This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing building hardware, including, but not limited to doors, windows, floors and ceilings, adhering to accepted procedures and techniques of the carpenter trade.
Submits completed house calls and PMRs to respective foreman for filing and charges.
Responsible for determining material, equipment and tools needed for specific job.
Constructs and repairs structural woodwork. Builds, repairs and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, hang sheetrock, trim work, bumpers, and shelving as requested by various departments. Handles all house calls that pertain to all listed above.
Installs, maintains and repairs floors as requested by Medical Center departments. Modifies doors and installs vision panels. Installs and repairs sheetrock walls and partitions. Replaces and install ceiling systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Must have minimum five years of experience. Trade or vocational school graduation shall reduce the above requirement to four years.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
