This position is at Mayo Clinic Rochester, MN hospitals. Patient care specialty practice areas include surgery specialties, internal medicine, cardiology, neurology and psychiatry, emergency medicine, critical care, pediatrics, and cardiac surgery/advanced heart failure with mechanical device implant. Responsibilities include drug therapy and disease monitoring, rounding with multidisciplinary teams, medication order review and verification, teaching activities, medication reconciliation, anticoagulation management, collaborative practice agreement and various other clinical activities depending on practice area, using cutting edge clinical informatics designed for pharmaceutical care.
This position rotates every 3rd weekend and covers 2 holidays per year. Salary is based on experience and training. Mayo offers a comprehensive benefit package including educational opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and sick childcare. Moving and incidental expense allowance available.

Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or equivalent experience. Equivalent experience includes at least two years of relevant pharmacy practice experience. Computer experience. Commitment to excellence, accuracy, attention to detail and team work. Ability to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with others, organize time well, solve problems, and work independently with minimal supervision.
The following are preferred: General practice residency and specialty residency in subspecialty interest preferred. PGY-2 Residency &/or previous hospital experience preferred. Completion of an accredited pharmacy residency. Experience of working in a large, progressive academic medical center. History of scholarly activities including publication and scientific meeting presentations. Experience and / or interest in teaching.
License to practice Pharmacy in the State of Minnesota.
