To the 2018 Graduating Class of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine Dear Colleague,
We are adding to our team this year and have openings for 2018 graduates who have a desire to move to the Southwest and practice high quality medicine and surgery. Our veterinary group consists of over 130 veterinarians.
Our organization is somewhat unique in that we have nineteen fully equipped, free-standing hospitals. Every hospital is a full-service hospital equipped with Digital Radiography, Ultrasound and Digital Dental Radiography. Therapeutic Laser treatment is available within our group.
Many of our hospitals also have both flexible and rigid endoscopes. All have well-equipped surgical and dental suites. Our hospitals are equipped with in-house Laboratory equipment and our outside reference laboratory picks up and gives results 3times per day. Our radiographs are reviewed by VitalRads Telemedicine Radiology Consultants from Texas.
Our group includes a specialty hospital with an emergency center open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The emergency hospital also houses a critical care center. The critical care center is available for consultations and management of cases requiring extra attention or specialized care. It is staffed with 2 Board Certified Critical Care Specialists as well as residents in Critical Care. We have 2 additional emergency hospitals to handle overnight emergencies.
At our specialty center we have 6 staff specialists in orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, 3 internal medicine specialists, 2 ophthalmologists, 3 oncologists, an anesthesiologist, a neurologist, and a cardiologist. In addition, we have 11 critical care specialist residents and staff veterinarians available for your support. We believe that this adds tremendously to our mission of providing high quality medicine and surgery to our clients as well as support to our veterinarians. It is our goal to help young veterinarians become very successful. We put a great deal of emphasis on mentoring our team in medicine, surgery and business. You will have your peers, experienced veterinarians and board-certified specialists at your disposal for any questions or help you may need.
