The University of Notre Dame (ND.jobs) is accepting applications for a Primary Care/Sports Medicine Provider.

Reporting to the University Health Services (UHS) Medical Director, the Primary Care/Sports Medicine Provider delivers a full range of college health primary care to Notre Dame students. He or she works collaboratively with all members of the UHS team, participates in UHS activities including accreditation, committees, quality improvement, etc., and complies with all UHS bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures. This role also serves as Team Doctor to at least 2 varsity Notre Dame sports teams (to be determined), providing home-game sidelines care, training room treatment and pre-participation clearance to student-athletes. The Primary Care/Sports Medicine Provider mentors Sports Medicine Fellows and is eligible for appointment to the faculty of the South Bend-Notre Dame Sports Medicine Fellowship. The Primary Care/Sports Medicine Provider is an enthusiastic patient-advocate who enjoys working with a young, healthy population, and who is passionate about providing the best possible primary care for our students. They possess the excellent interpersonal skills necessary to inspire and educate patients, communicate effectively with all levels of health care team members, and foster the relationship between the Division of Student Affairs and Athletics.
Minimum Qualifications: Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) Indiana state medical license, or eligible CSR/DEA licensure Board certification in specialties Primary Care and Sports Medicine Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse, young adult population Ability to work effectively in a team-like environment with coworkers with a variety of skills levels Ability to practice within the Ethical and Religious Guidelines for Catholic Health Care Services
Preferred Qualifications: Sports Medicine Fellowship highly preferred Experience in College Health, Family Practice Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Emergency Medicine preferred
