Chestnut Hill Hospital is a community-based, university-affiliated, 148-bed teaching hospital committed to excellent patient-centered care. We provide a full range of inpatient and outpatient, diagnostic, and treatment services for our neighbors in northwest Philadelphia and eastern Montgomery County.
More than 300 board-certified physicians comprise the medical staff and support medical specialties, including minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, cardiology, gynecology, oncology, orthopedics, urology, family practice, and internal medicine. Our comprehensive services include primary care practices, two women's centers, and an off-site physical therapy center. We are affiliated with university hospitals in Philadelphia for heart and stroke care, as well as for our hospitalist and residency programs.

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who is responsible for designated patients for a specified time frame. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process, the environment and other health care resources to meet the specialized age-appropriate physical, emotional and spiritual needs of all ages of patient populations assigned.
Education: - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Certificates / Licenses: - Current state Registered Nurse license; or eligible for immediate state license. - Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) Certification (American Heart Association). - Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification. - Current CEN(Certification for Emergency Nursing) National Certification preferred. Experience: - Prior acute-care experience required - Minimum of 1 year ER experience. - Able to successfully complete orientation of job performance. - Able to meet physical and sensory requirements of job. - Able to meet health standards for hospital employment.. - Must be highly motivated and committed to a quality of care that emphasizes the patient first.
