Animal Aid is a growing small animal practice that caters to client and patient care. We have three exam rooms, a surgical suite, gas anesthesia, in-house blood work, radiographs, and an excellent team atmosphere. We see companion animals, and exotics or pet pigs at the veterinarian's discretion. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. We strive to let all of our employees have a good work/life balance. An emergency clinic is located about 20 minutes away for emergencies after hours.
Animal Aid also offers a low cost spay/neuter to all clients and an assistance program to clients who are on a limited or fixed income. There is an application process for the assistance which must be updated annually. We try our best to accommodate all low income clients and low income emergencies. Animal Aid has a 501(c)3 (non-profit) designation for our assistance program and spay/neuter surgeries. We also have a 'for profit' division that functions as any other regular veterinary hospital. We offer the same type care to all of our clients regardless of their income level.
We currently have multiple part-time doctors, 3 technicians, 1 assistant and 1 receptionist. We are equipped and have the clientele for 2 full-time veterinarians.
We are located in Athens, Tennessee which is located between Knoxville and Chattanooga. We are surrounded by mountains, rivers and lakes - ideal for camping, hiking, backpacking, climbing, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and rafting. We are 2 hours from the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge and Dollywood. Motorcycle enthusiasts will enjoy riding the Dragon's Tail which boasts 318 curves in 11 miles. With our Monday - Friday work schedule, there is plenty of time to explore!
