The Center for Emergency Medicine on the University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center campus provides 24-hour emergency care to adult patients in a state-of-the-art facility. The 44 bed emergency unit and Level 1 Trauma Center offers immediate access to expert specialists and advanced technology in an environment specifically designed to maximize patient comfort, privacy and safety. The Center for Emergency Medicine is an accredited Chest Pain Center and accredited Stroke Center.
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Dimensions are:
Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care. Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing. Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
*Sign on Bonus available to nurses with a minimum of 2 years inpatient acute care experience.
Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
1 year RN experience required.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from accredited program preferred.
Minimum of Diploma/Associate's Degree in nursing from accredited program.
Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
