SSM Health Dean Medical Group, a 450 physician, multi-specialty group, is seeking a full-time salaried (1.0FTE) ENT physician to join our established department as an Acute Care Otolaryngology Head and Neck surgeon (Otolaryngology hospitalist). The new physician will be based at St. Mary's Hospital. Responsibilities will to be to manage acute hospital and clinic otolaryngology issues.
The primary responsibility will to be manage hospital and call related daytime coverage for St Mary's Hospital. Typical coverage will be from approximately 7 am until 4 pm four to five weekdays a week. There will be additional traditional call coverage 1/6 shared equally with the clinic-based providers in the group. There will be limited clinic exposure. The limited clinic time will be for the purpose of hospital follow up as well as managing acute or urgent otolaryngology needs that arise outside of the hospital or emergency room setting. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a slower pace but still managing complex otolaryngeal problems.
The otolaryngology group at SSM Health Dean Medical Group consists of 5 physicians and 3 advanced practitioners. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set with an interest in facial trauma and be patient centered, service oriented, and hard working.
