Vanderbilt LifeFlight is the critical care air medical transport service of Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt since 1984. LifeFlight operates as a community asset and will transport to any appropriate hospital.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs emergency communications coordination. Provides information and emergency notification to customers. Works with advanced communications systems. Practices continuous professional development and excellent customer service. Practices proactive operational support of the department.
Performs and documents safe, efficient and accurate coordination for all designated Emergency Services assets.
Understands the operations and applications of all communication equipment.
Communicates information and emergency notification to customers in an efficient, concise and courteous manner.
Demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of Emergency Response procedures.
Maintains competency per regulatory and accreditation compliance.

LISTENING (NOVICE):- Demonstrates the fundamental techniques of listening, including paying complete attention, avoiding interrupting speakers, seeking clarification when necessary, and acknowledging that the message has been received, if appropriate.
