Pain is a condition that affects the daily life and financial security of hundreds of thousands of individuals and their families. It is a complex, challenging problem, requiring careful investigation of symptoms and specialized care. For persons suffering from acute chronic and cancer-related pain, the Cedars-Sinai Pain Center offers a full range of outpatient evaluation and treatment techniques, as well as inpatient consultation services. Summary of Essential Job Duties: Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Pain Center has opening for a Clinical Nurse II. CNII assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care. Demonstrate motivation and serve as a catalyst for effective changes within nursing at the unit service level and institutional levels. Applies clinical knowledge regarding standard pattern of care to consolidate interventions for time and cost savings. May ssume responsibility for patient advocacy, patient rights, and meeting customer expectations. The CNII will assist in outpatient procedural areas that include: pre procedure, procedural fluoroscopy, post procedure recovery and fast paced ambulatory clinics.
Qualification Requirements/Preferences: Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements: BSN preferred License/Certification/Registration Requirements: Active California Nursing License, AHA BLS/ACLS, Board or Specialty Certified, Pain Certification preferred. Experience: A minimum of 1 year of Nursing experience in one of the following: Procedural, Critical Care, OR, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency Room Proficient IV skills. Physical Demands: (e.g., lifting, standing, walking) Ability to stand, sit, lift (30 pounds), carry and pull.
