The Executive Director of the Center for Health and Wellbeing and Senior Public Health Officer reports to the Vice Provost for Student Affairs and serves as a member of the Student Affairs senior leadership team. The Executive Director is responsible for the strategic leadership and visionary direction of a multidisciplinary team and will champion the areas of Counseling and Psychiatric Services, Student Health Services, Living Well (Education and Outreach), and Division I Athletic Training in their successful management of operations and advancement of integrated programs and services. Working directly with the President and Vice Provost, the Executive Director will serve as both an institutional and national thought leader on college health, and leverage UVM’s already strong reputation for improving student health and wellness. The Executive Director will have responsibilities for overseeing public health initiatives for the campus and creating meaningful opportunities to engage directly with others who are working to positively influence student health and campus culture. The Executive Director will provide strong leadership for an organization of approximately 65 full-time and part-time staff and oversee an $8.7M annual budget. The Executive Director will lead short-term and long-range planning through assessment strategies and evidenced-based programs serving 10,000 undergraduates and 3,000 graduate and medical students.
