Department Meeting Coordinator – Medical Staff Services – Orlando
Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire Department Meeting Coordinator who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

The Credentialing Specialist is located in Orlando at the Courtland Campus. This department is part of central operations a division of FHHS Network Service.
Varied (7a-8p); M-F
Manages all aspects of the medical staff's clinical department meetings in conjunction with each department chairman in accordance with the Medical Staff Bylaws and department rules and regulations. Forwards all actions and recommendations requiring review and recommendation by other committees through the Director. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to work with people of various backgrounds and professional levels
Demonstrated Intermediate level computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Proficiency in medical terminology
Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize projects
Ability to work under stress and deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in meeting management and minute taking
Experience with credentialing software (Preferred)
BA or BS Degree, OR
Minimum 5 years experience in a healthcare environment
College degree in Business or Office Administration (Preferred)
Experience in a medical staff services office (Preferred)
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Required:
Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist Certification (Preferred)

Coordinates the scheduling of all medical staff Clinical Department meetings, including establishing the yearly schedule, meeting room reservations, room set-up, food service, and audiovisual needs no later than December 15 of the year prior. Coordinates any needed changes to the schedule throughout the year and sends notices to members and affected parties.
Prepares agendas in advance of the meeting in conjunction with the Department Chairman, including old and new business and distributes to members no later than 10 days prior to the meeting. Maintains awareness of appropriate information to be included on the agenda by utilizing the information from the Medical Executive Committee updates provided at the MSSO Department meeting, and gathering information from appropriate departments such as Clinical Performance Improvement, Medical Staff Services.
Coordinates with all meeting participants/speakers, and arranges for CME credit, if requested, through the Continuing Medical Education Department.
Coordinates and facilitates all meetings by arriving at location at least 15 minutes in advance, providing sufficient copies of agenda, previous meeting minutes, handout materials pertaining to presentations, and sign-in sheets, and takes record of attendance, presentations, actions and recommendations.
Maintains responsibility for all meeting minutes. Minute keeping shall include drafting of minutes within seven (7) days of meeting, obtaining chairman approval, posting to the Medical Staff Services website, and archiving for easy access and reference.
Maintains responsibility for all meeting actions requiring follow-up, monitoring with a suitable system for tracking target dates, responsible individuals, and completion. Forwards all department recommendations through the Operations Manager within one week of meeting to other appropriate medical staff committees, or sooner, if necessary to reach appropriate committee.
Manages departmental votes whether in meeting or by mail ballot. Prepares, collects, and tallies votes and reports to department chairman and Operations Manager.
Maintains knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws, General Rules and Regulations, and Departmental Rules and Regulations to provide guidance to Department Chairman and acts as a resource when needed in department meetings. Identifies actions and recommendations by department that affects changes in above documents and communicates to Coordinator of Bylaws Committee.
