Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate The Project Coordinator will manage an assigned portfolio of projects under the general supervision of the Program Manager, as it relates to the development and implementation of new and ongoing programs and initiatives within the department.
Under general supervision, manage interdepartmental projects as determined by department leadership, including scoping out project, identifying goals and objectives and creating project plans that support the initiative.
Responsible for helping develop and managing program web presence, staff and patient education. Regularly reviews content, and provides recommendations for improvements. Makes suggestions on how to visually present the information. Makes updates as agreed upon by the team.
Responsible for managing project progress to ensure key milestones are met, with the authority to hold project participants accountable for their deliverables. Analyzes risk and its impact using project management tools and identifies alternatives that will eliminate or minimize risk. Escalates larger risk factors as needed to leadership with recommended solutions.
Develops and amends project plans and documentation as needed throughout the project, adapting the approach, timelines and deliverables as needed based on foreseen and unforeseen events to ensure the success of the projects.
Manages key components of projects, including but not limited to analyzing various data points from EPIC, projecting future patterns and makes recommendations as needed.
Collaborates with various stakeholders within and outside of the department, building and promoting positive working relationships.
Organizes complex events and committee meetings, including meeting materials and agendas, identifies needed resources and arranging for required support. May organize travel logistic arrangements and itineraries as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree. At least two years experience managing projects. Demonstrated ability to lead and support a wide array of projects to successful conclusion. Excellent analytical, research, organizational skills, confidence, versatility and initiative. Strong computer skills and facility with Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Project; familiarity with other databases and analytic tools a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to adapt tone and style for broad and diverse audiences. Basic knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry, healthcare reform, and delivery of care.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in health care related field with at least two years of progressive health care experience Willingness to pursue Project Management Institute certification Knowledge of project management tools, methods, and best practices such as those defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and included in Project Management Body of Knowledge preferred.
