This position supports the CNO and Nursing Leadership in all aspects of the clinical, financial, and operational management of Emergency Department for the Nursing Department and the hospital and health system. Specifically the role is responsible for the hiring and evaluation of all department staff that provide direct and indirect care for all Emergency Department patients. The position supports nursing practice and the management of all related clinical processes in accordance with patient safety initiatives, evidence based practice, Joint Commission and other regulatory and governmental requirements. The position has financial oversight for all departmental operations, staff resources, and supply/equipment budgets. The position has the responsibility to prepare and monitor capital and expense budget items related to the emergency department. This position has clinical staff oversight in a collaborative environment with Interventional Radiology Services.

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital
Minimum 2 years clinical experience, including leadership experience such as Charge Nurse Emergency Division. 2 years of clinical experience must be in emergency nursing.

Promotes the development of nurse professionals, technicians and support staff
