JOB TITLE: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

JOB SUMMARY:
Provides primary clinical support to the provider and patient to assist in the diagnosis
and treatment of the patient's condition. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure
completion, accuracy, and filing of same in medical record to ensure continuity and
quality of care. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age
range on their assigned clinical area.
Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient
satisfaction.
Works under the supervision of the Team Leader, Clinic Nurse Supervisor and Operations Manager.
Acts as a patient advocate and all patient interactions should represent CICARE
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates flexibility in response to unexpected changes in workload, staffing and scheduling.
Demonstrates ability to maintain BLS Certification every two years.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to age of the patient.

Demonstrates flexibility and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Practical nurse currently licensed in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure required.
BLS certification required.
Minimum one year prior medical/surgical or clinic related experience required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. May require travel to Outreach Sites.
