We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Unified Communications Engineer.
In this role, the successful candidate Reporting to the Associate Director of Network Convergence, the Senior UC Engineering position is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of Unified Communications Projects as well as providing 2nd and 3rd level support for all UC related issues or outages. It is also responsible for the troubleshooting, and if required vendor escalation, to achieve resolution as well as providing written Root Cause Analysis. It also ensures the smooth operation of the UC infrastructure in order to provide maximum performance and availability.
Responsible for project implementation and support of the Organization’s Collaboration related technologies which include, but are not limited to, Call Manager, Cisco Unity, IM&P, Vidyo, VBrick, Jabber, Dialplan, etc.
Engineers, tests, installs and maintains audiovisual equipment, telehealth devices, and clinical automated information systems.
Maintain system documentation for the Organization’s UC and Telemedicine infrastructure.
Coordination of system and network changes in conjunction with Change Management policies.
Monitors systems alerts, performance and utilization reporting.
Provides support for project implementation and equipment installations.
UC and Telemedicine infrastructure problem management, reporting and escalation.
Review of current infrastructure and make recommendations for optimization; where applicable
Provides knowledge transfer to other teams and team members.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
To qualify you must have a Work experience in healthcare and/or education or equivalent experience in complex organizations. 5+ years of relevant experience. CCVP/CCNP Voice desired. Extensive experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection/ Unity in enterprise deployments, including bulk administration, provisioning and management of endpoints and user accounts in large-scale systems. Solid experience with voice gateways: MGCP, SIP, H.323, SCCP, digital PRI/T1, analog FXO/FXS, Cisco Unified. Solid experience with Border Element, media resources, SRST/SRSV. Some Experience with Cisco Unified Contact Center Express, including but not limited to UC Manager integration, basic scripting, high availability clustering. Solid experience with traditional PBX and voicemail system integration to a UC environment. Extensive experience with CME/CUE. Strong knowledge and extensive experience in dial plan designs and implementation. Solid experience with Cisco Unified Presence deployments with various client application integration: Cisco Jabber, Cisco Unified Personal Communicator, Microsoft Lync/Office Communicator, etc. Solid experience with IP routing/switching and QoS. Experience with virtualization, specifically VMware, Cisco UCS B/C-Series servers. Experience with Cisco TelePresence video solutions. Experience with Cisco audio and video conferencing solutions. Experience with voice carrier systems from - ATT, Verizon, Sprint, Windstream, Experience with multi-cluster call manager environments. Strong problem solving and analytic skills to isolate problems, recommend solutions and implementation of solutions. Strong verbal and written communication. BA or BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Experience with Cisco TelePresence video and Vidyo solutions.
Experience with Cisco audio and video conferencing solutions.
Experience with multi-cluster environments.
Ability to create System Run Books, defining day-to-day support, maintenance, troubleshooting knowledgebase of the infrastructure.
Should have an understanding of current industry trends and their advantages with the ability to right fit into an existing environment.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent problem solving and analytic skills to isolate problems, recommend solutions and implementation of solutions.
Excellent people skills with the ability to handle stressful personnel situations.
Excellent computer skills are necessary in Word, Excel, Presentation, Project, and Visio.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
