Nurse Manager - Lexington Medical Center - ED - Full-Time; 40 hours
The Unit Manager maintains responsibility and accountability for the clinical, human resource, financial, and all other functions related to management of the department; develops departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, and policies that support the organization's mission and goals. Functions in an advisory capacity to the Senior Director of Nursing Services/CNO and the hospitals administrative team in evaluating the initiation of new policies/programs or changes in existing ones as they relate to patient care and/or the department's specific functions. Directs the implementation of and ensures compliance with WFBH-Lexington Medical Center's standards of care and practice that promote the delivery of quality nursing care. Demonstrates ICare skills. Provides professional leadership, advice, and consultation to all services in matters related to the Nursing Services departments.
Graduate of a State approved School of Nursing.
BSN required, MSN preferred.
Two years of progressively responsible management or supervisory experience.
Education and experience requirements may vary according to the combined background of the candidate and the particular needs of the hospital at a given time.
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:
Current registered nurse license (North Carolina).
Specialty certification strongly encouraged.
