We are at the forefront of epidemiologic methodology and practice, bringing scientific rigor and integrity to protocol design, data analytics, and research reporting. We have expertise analyzing a wide array of real-world data sources, including health insurance claims, electronic and paper medical records, patient and provider surveys, and death record databases. Our multidisciplinary team includes more than 50 epidemiologists and research analysts, supported by experienced project managers and research associates. The epidemiologist has the primary responsibility for the scientific direction and day-to-day management of research projects. Primary Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day scientific direction and guide project execution in collaboration with the project team Prepare study protocols, analytic plans, reports, manuscripts, and other client deliverablesDirect client contact, including presentation of study results Present study results at scientific conferencesDirect or participate in business development and proposal writing efforts
Required Qualifications:Master's Degree in pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiology, or health services5+ years of relevant experience in a health care research, industry, consulting, or academic environmentExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively as leader of a teamKnowledge of study design, research methodology, and statistical analysisStrong work ethic and demonstrated organizational and problem solving skillsProven track record in meeting timelines and ability to manage multiple competing prioritiesDemonstrates adaptability and flexibility with changes in responsibilities and dutiesPreferred Qualifications:Doctorate in pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiology, or health servicesPrior experience working with and analyzing large databases such as administrative healthcare claims data and/or electronic health recordsExperience applying advanced pharmacoepidemiologic methods, such as propensity score-based approachesExperience with SAS or similar statistical softwareCareers with Optum.
