NYU Langone is hosting an Open House for Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students and Family Nurse Practitioner students with critical care nursing experience and an interest in pursuing Acute Care NP certification.
Come and join us on Monday, April 23, 2018 from 9AM to 2PM. At the open house you’ll have the opportunity to meet with our dedicated NP recruiters, NP Managers and senior Advanced Practice Nursing Leadership. You’ll tour some of the clinical areas where our NPs practice and learn more about our new, state-of-the-art acute care facility, the Kimmel Pavillion. You’ll make a connection with an employer, find out more about advanced practice nursing at NYU Langone Health, and get advice tailored to your own career interests.

To attend this event, you must have or be in the process of completing your Masters of Science in Nursing with the potential to become a New York State licensed Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Entry-to-practice Acute Care Nurse Practitioners must be board certified within their first year of employment. Entry-to-practice Family Nurse Practitioners hired to positions within the acute setting must be board certified as FNPs within their first year of employment and Acute Care NP certified within two years of employment.
Additional requirements include relevant acute care Nursing experience; ability to apply nursing process toward achievement of specific outcomes in an organized fashion, which addresses patient/family safety and satisfaction. Evidence of excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, creative problem solving and excellent critical thinking and leadership; Previously demonstrated ability to facilitate group processes and work cohesively and collaboratively as member of the interdisciplinary team.
Membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
