Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Billing Coordinator.
In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for overseeing all professional FGP Billing operations (inpatients and outpatients) and for handling surgical/inpatient scheduling Job Responsibilities: - Oversees all professional billing operations for inpatients and outpatients.
- Works with outside professional (FGP) billing agencies on all patients complaints regarding professional (FGP) billing.
- Reviews all charge confirmation reports.
- Closes out the month while ensuring faculty have submitted all professional (FGP) billings.
- Negotiates and executes settlements with the insurance carriers for the professional (FGP) billing.
- Handles admitting patients/surgical scheduling.
- Schedules surgical case and pre admission testing.
- Distributes the weekly Cath and E.P. Surgical schedule for the patients.
- Provides guidance to four office support employees and covers for the office supervisor during absence.
- Supervises the training staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a College degree in accounting or related field and three years of medical office/physician billing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. CPT Certification (Coding). Familiarization with medical terminology. Familiarization with hospital/medical billing. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients Preferred Qualifications: None Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
