Florida Hospital for Children is seeking a dynamic and hardworking Pediatric Palliative Medicine physician to join our team within our system in Orlando. Florida Hospital has a growing physician-led program that will give you the opportunity to work with our existing palliative care team. We direct inpatient consultation services at a tertiary hospital with plans to roll-out outpatient clinics. This position comes with opportunities for mentorship, teaching, working with team-based faculty, and development of a palliative fellowship. This program emphasizes patient and family-centered care and collaboration with a team of physicians from every specialty. There is an opportunity to work with pediatric residents and palliative medicine fellows.

Successful candidates will have strong clinical skills necessary to join our growing program.
Board Certification/Eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine along with active board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at Florida Hospital for Children is a full service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 dedicated pediatric beds, including a 22 bed PICU, 10 bed Cardiac ICU, 102 NICU beds at FHFC, with an extensive network of four other Level II NICU’s that bring our total number of NICU beds to over 150, 17 bed pediatric emergency department and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have a strong track record of positive outcomes. We also have several key destination programs including our level IV Epilepsy program and upcoming pediatric liver transplant. Our unparalleled network consists of 26 hospitals across the state with one children’s hospital at the center and several extremely successful pediatric subspecialty programs including outreach clinics.
Florida Hospital for Children is conveniently close to many gorgeous homes, downtown urban living, shopping and great schools. Orlando has world-class attractions including Universal Studios, Walt Disney World and numerous beaches. Orlando is home to major league soccer (Orlando City Lions), NBA basketball (Orlando Magic) as well as University of Central Florida sports. The city also has many public and private universities and colleges. The newly built Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts hosts variety of musical and theatrical performances throughout the year.
