The Center for Clinical Pharmacology, a collaboration between Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis - Department of Anesthesiology and the St. Louis College of Pharmacy, invites applications for postdoctoral associates to work with an emerging principal investigator’s research efforts on development of novel compounds that target opioid receptors for potential use in treatment of human diseases including chronic pain, cocaine and alcohol addiction. Research is focused on using synthetic organic chemistry/medicinal chemistry/chemical biology to characterizing the physiological roles of these receptors as well as developing drugs targeting opioid receptors.
Do you have?
Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal chemistry or a related field.
Research experience, including experience in natural products total synthesis is an advantage.
Interest in running biochemical assays and mice behavioral assays.
Interest in collaborating with world renowned neuroscientists and pharmacologists.
