Responsibilities will include delivery of clinical services in the Emergency Department, teaching of physician assistants, medical students and residents rotating through the Emergency Department. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, is a level I trauma center which evaluates and treats over 70,000 visits/year. The hospital serves as our principal teaching affiliate.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Candidates should be eligible for appointment at the rank of Instructor. Candidate should be board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine. Preference will be given to individual with fellowship training or research experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Clinical responsibilities include working assigned shifts providing direct patient care to patients. The ED operates 24/7 365 days a year. Work also involves coordination of care of all patients across the ED and management of the flow of support staff including CCTS, RNs, Data Control Clerks, Unit Clerks, residents, students, other attending physicians (for admitted patients) etc
