Why work on the Michigan Medicine Sleep Lab Team?As an Allied Health Tech Coordinator with Michigan Medicine, you will be an integral part of our Sleep Lab Team. You will work in collaboration with Certified Polysomnographic Technologists and our Sleep lab Supervisor to coordinate the technical activities of the clinical laboratory and the work of the laboratory staff. You’ll also independently perform complex clinical procedures. Patients will receive instruction and support from you as they prepare for tests. Additionally, there will be opportunities to train new staff members and work with polysomnographic student externs. In specialized cases, you may also develop, implement, evaluate and modify difficult recording procedures for patients or even participate in the conducting of sleep disorder research. Physical RequirementsThis position requires moderate standing/walking, as well as lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or transferring of patients. Associate’s Degree in a health science is desirable. Nights with the flexibility to accommodate evenings, rotating weekends and holidays including on call responsibilities.
