The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB), Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo is actively recruiting for full or part-time pediatric emergency medicine physician in the Division of Emergency Medicine to handle minor and complex lacerations, perform procedural sedation and clinical procedures as qualified (will provide additional training/experience as required. Must be interested in teaching students, residents and fellows as well as clinical care. Interest in clinical research is encouraged. Candidates must have a MD or DO degree, board-certified in Pediatrics and Board eligible/certified in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
The Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine is a growing and active division with 13 members with an ACGME accredited fellowship program. The PEM serves 45,000 pediatric patients per year and is the only Level 1 pediatric trauma center in Western New York. PEM is supported by 14 subspecialties, the largest in Western New York. UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in the area. Our physicians also make up the academic teaching faculty within the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo.
